Day 01

  • Arrival in Colombo International Airport and meet with our representative at the arrival lounge
  • Transfer to capital city Colombo – 1 hour drive approximately
  • Overnight stay at Lake Colombo

Day 02

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Transfer to Anuradhapura – 5 hour drive approximately
  • Check into Ulagalla Resort
  • Jungle Kayaking at 4 pm which is organized by the hotel: Take to the waters of Wannemaduwa tank in a kayak at dawn or dusk to experience the wild life of the forest at its most active. Paddle quietly with your friendly staff guide through floating islands of lotus blossom, stands of water bird-haunted reeds and overhanging boughs. The soft light of the rising or setting sun turns the air to honey and touches the dragonflies’ wings with gold.

Day 03

  • Explore the most important ancient capital of Sri Lanka, Anuradhapura. An UNESCO world heritage site once powerhouse of Sri Lankan ancient kingdoms, famous for its well-preserved ruins of ancient Sri Lankan civilization

Day 05

  • Transfer to Kandy- 4 hour drive approximately
  • En route climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO world heritage site now and was the palace and pleasure garden of King Kassapa
  • En route visit Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO world heritage site, this complex dates from the third and second centuries BC
  • Overnight stay at Ellerton in Kandy

Day 06

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Visit Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden. It is near the Mahaweli River and is renowned for its collection of orchids.
  • Visit Temple of Tooth Relic in Kandy where Lord Buddha’s Tooth relic is housed, the most venerated city of Sri Lanka
  • Overnight stay at Ellerton in Kandy

Day 07

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Transfer to Hatton – 3 hour drive approximately
  • En route visit Warleigh Church which was built in 1878 by William Scott the governor of Governor’s Mansion. The church built in typical old British church architecture.
  • Lunch at the Hotel
  • Enjoy the home grown tea
  • Dinner & overnight stay at Governor’s Mansion in Hatton

Day 08

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Lunch at the Hotel
  • Tea estate walk: Sprawling tea estates in the beautiful valleys of Dickoya offer scenic views of plantations and mountain ranges. With an opportunity to learn of the tea making process you can walk among tea bushes breathing in fresh mountain air and experience life in tea estates observing the lifestyle of tea pluckers and estate workers. A great opportunity for taking photographs of culture and nature.

  • Meet with our crew at 12 noon at Yala Junction and be driven in to Yala Safari Camp
