Set amidst the palm fringed jungle and tea plantations of southern Sri Lanka, Kahanda Kanda is a hidden gem where culture, wellness and luxury combine. Our boutique hotel in Sri Lanka offers 10 individually designed villas (3 with private pools) to relax and unwind, just a short tuk-tuk ride from the UNESCO world heritage site Galle Fort.
Our bespoke villas are inspired by local culture, featuring elegant art and antiques within each of the spacious rooms and gardens - a sanctuary where guests can indulge in serenity, privacy and personalised five-star service.
KK is fifteen minutes inland from the south coast of Sri Lanka, so ideal for exploring the nearby beaches or visiting Galle Fort or some of the many other activities available. Or you could just lie by the pool and read a book – the choice is yours!
Experience luxury and relaxation in our collection of uniquely designed suites spread throughout the grounds of our romantic resort in Galle. Each bedroom suite is in a stand-alone building, except for the Garden and Tea Suites, thus ensuring maximum privacy and peaceful surroundings for guests. Decorated in a different style, all of our villas near Galle Fort are filled with an eclectic and individual mélange of antiques as well as more contemporary pieces - sourced locally and from all over the world. As part of our Responsible Tourism policy, all suites have solar power heating for the hot water, we re-cycle our waste and we ask that you also act responsibly towards the planet we inhabit.
Indulge your taste buds with fine food that is fresh, delicious and healthy at Kahanda Kanda. We use only fruits, vegetables and herbs grown on the estate, supplemented with a selection of the freshest local produce to create simple, fusion dishes and classic Sri Lankan curries to pamper our guests' palates with good health. Two of the three resident chefs have trained in Thailand, and offer a mouth-watering range of Thai dishes.
As important as the food itself, mealtimes are entirely at your discretion. At breakfast we offer a selection of local specialities as well as Western dishes. Lunch can be three courses, or you can choose from our Snack Menu. Dinner is a gourmet affair and if you would like a romantic dinner, may I suggest we set up a table in the garden for supper under the stars?
For those who are hell-bent on losing weight, we offer a calorie-counted series of menus, but we do not enforce this on everyone!
We are pleased to offer Cookery Classes for our guests wishing to learn the secrets of Sri Lankan or Thai cuisine.
