Day 01

  • Arrival in Colombo International Airport and meet with our representative at the arrival lounge
  • Transfer to Minuwangoda – 15 min drive approximately

Day 03

  • Visit Anuradhapura Ancient city
  • Anuradhapura has been made royal capital by the king Pandukabhaya in 380 BC. It remained residence and royal capital for 119 successive Singhalese kings till the year 1000 AD when it was abandoned and the capital moved to Polonnaruwa. You will see some of the most famous as well as the tallest dagoba of Sri Lanka, remains from palaces, temples, monasteries, ceremonial baths and the temple of the holy Bo-tree. This tree was grown from a sapling of the very tree under which more than 2500 years ago the Lord Buddha found enlightenment.

Day 04

  • Evening walk in the village
  • There’s more to Ulagalla than just the view out of your window. Wake up with the dawn chorus and take a guided walk round the estate and beyond. This leisurely 90-minute ramble includes a walk along the banks of Wannemaduwa ‘tank’, a traditional irrigation reservoir built to a design over two thousand years old.

Day 05

  • Transfer to Nuwara Eliya – 5 hours drive approximately
  • On the way visit Tea plantation and Tea factories
  • Dinner & Overnight stay at Jetwing Warwick Garden

Day 06

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Relax in the morning
  • Transfer to Horton Plain National Park in the noon
  • Trek through the World’s end and Bakers fall
  • Horton plains or Mahaeliya Tenna in Sinhalese is the great plains of the central hills of Sri Lanka, located approximately 30 km from the town of Nuwara Eliya better known for its cooler climate. Horton plains was discovered by the Colonial British, namely Governor Barnes & Sir Samuel Baker, who accounts of wanton shooting of Elephants in Horton plains in the name entertainment , no elephants are to be seen here now, only Elk, stag, butterflies, and many endemic types of flora.

Day 08

  • Transfer to Yala National park – 4 hours drive approximately
  • Yala is an ideal place to spot the “big four” of Sri Lankan wildlife, the elephants, the sloth bear, the illusive leopard and the wild buffalo, the unsung denizen of the park, if nothing else dangerous to the extreme. The roaming elephant herds can be easily seen during dry spells at the small scale reservoirs like Butuwe (derived from the word “Wana Butewa”) and Mahaseelawa while Uraniya is best known for its aquatic avifauna, wild buffalo, mugger or mash crocodile & salt water crocodiles. The black sloth bear is more difficult to spot as it’s more of a solitary animal of nocturnal habits and sightings tend to be a seasonal occurrence.
  • Meet with our crew at 12 noon at Yala Junction and be driven in to Yala Safari Camp
  • Lunch at the Camp
  • Evening Game Drive
  • Dinner and overnight stay at the Camp

Day 09

  • Early morning Game Drive
  • Back to Camp for Breakfast
  • At leisure in the Camp
  • Evening Game Drive
  • BBQ Dinner and overnight stay at the Camp

Day 10

  • Transfer to Tangalle – 2 hours drive approximately

Day 11

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Relax by the Beach
  • Dinner & Overnight stay at Amanwella Tangalle

Day 12

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Relax by the Beach
  • In the night at about 8 pm go to Rekawa beach to see Turtle coning to shore to lay eggs – 30 minutes drive
  • Dinner & Overnight stay at Amanwella Tangalle

Day 13

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Relax by the Beach
  • Candle lit dinner (Champagne will be served) & Overnight stay at Amanwella Tangalle
  • Have a sunset dinner under the stars served by a waiter, on a table with candle lights in the secluded beach
